Currently have two sizeable GPU WU running. Would be 3, but my 2013 Dell M4800 is giving me issues. It ran perfectly for about 24 hours but now it keeps shutting down randomly. Think it’s something motherboard related, it was replaced under warranty a few years ago and seems to have the same problem. It’s replacement though is doing great, and is carrying team Slant6.
I am impressed with how the iMac is doing, shows what being a desktop can do. I’ve been considering picking up an older E2 Xeon workstation for CAD work, something used in the $600 area. Should be an improvement over my 2017 mobile i7, and should definitely be an improvement over my work issued 2013 iMac.

Y ou might consider installing an application to monitor temps, likely your system that’s restarting could be unhappy about excessive heat. I use Core Temp for intel chips, AMD’s don’t seem to report as well with it.

It’s likely overheating. Download HWinfo. It’s possible your thermal paste needs to be redone.

T ried monitoring temperatures just now and it shutdown in the process. Might dive into it after work, but I tried a few things including the thermal paste when I retired it in 2018. Typically it’s fine in light use, I had it running a CNC machine for a while. Honestly I’m surprised it ran for 24 hours straight yesterday.
